Late last week, we had the opportunity to purchase fresh-picked blueberries. My son LOVES blueberries, so we bought 10 pounds.
That night, he asked me if I could make blueberry muffins. I'd never made them before, but I was up for the challenge.
I pulled out my gluten-free flour and a recipe and began my attempt. When they were done, they did not look very good to me at all. . .
I served them to my son, cringing the whole time. You see, not only did they not look good, but I don't like blueberries. I never have.
He was thrilled! He said they were some of the best he had ever tasted and I ought to try them.
Are you kidding!? Blueberries are bitter and gross.
But you see, we had raised our son with a dinner-time rule that you had to try something at least once. I could not be a hypocrite, so I needed to take a bite. (Insert horror music here.)
I don't want to sound braggadocios, but they were good! I'm so glad that he encouraged me to try them.
What “scary-blueberry-muffin-type” things are you ignoring in your business?
What one thing are you avoiding doing right now, that if you did it, would yield yummy results?
Who do you have in your life that is encouraging you to “take a bite”?
To your amazingly yummy success!
