How many of you have a big pile (either all together or spread out throughout your home or office) of different sized booklets that give you information about something you purchased? How many of them have you ever referenced?
Next question, if something broke down, could you find it when you needed it? I now know about a great resource that will help you get rid of your obscure ones with no problem!
Feel good about getting rid of your user's guides and manuals to almost any electronic tool that you own! Check out http://www.retrevo.com/samples/index.html. Unless you reference your user's guide on a daily basis, this is possibly the fastest way to find an answer about one of your technical tools. You can download the manual, print the page from their troubleshooting guide, and you'll be back in business in no time!
Here is what the Retrevo says about their site:
How to use Retrevo depends on what you want to do. We can help you find that right product, new usage tips or troubleshooting and support answers – including taking you directly to the specific page in a pdf manual! Our goal is to give you answers for all your electronics needs from before you buy to after you've had the product for years, and everything in between. Retrevo is the place to help you enjoy the experience of electronics products.
There are lots of other uses for the site too.
So, as you stumble upon those guides give them a happy toss into the recycling bin because you now have a much faster way to get the same information!
Thanks to my wonderful client and friend Linda Siniscal of Your Extra Hand who shared this in her January newsletter! Linda is a virtual assistant and very good at what she does. Sign up for her newsletter to get awesome tips for your office.
What is a virtual assistant you ask? Well! I'll be writing more on that in the future. Stay tuned!
