- Facebook personal profile
- Facebook business page
- Twitter profile
- LinkedIn profile
- YouTube profile
- Google+ about page
- Pinterest profile
- Instagram profile
- Google places description
- Profiles on forums you participate on
- Other social media and web presence that you have
Often, when we are setting up accounts we write a quick bio and then forget about it. Then, time marches on and the information that we put into our Twitter bio back in 2008 when we joined is so not what we do today! Don't let that happen to you. It sends confusing messages about what you do and who you are.
Take 10 minutes and look at all of your social media profiles
Are yours current and accurate?
Is your profile picture current and consistent across the profiles?
Are you using keywords so that others can find you easily?
Link to Your Site
As you are updating your bio and pictures consider adding a clickable link to a page on your website that has a specific call to action or gives your visitor an overview of your site and what you have to offer. You might link them to your About page, a special invitation page, a Start Here page, your Products page or a page that you have designed for visitors from that site.
